Except they don’t cross paths with any of Zambia, Morocco, SA, or Senegal. Otherwise, it’s end of the road.
The same Portugal they drew was soundly beaten 5-0 by Spain last week in the ongoing Women Euros. The same Spain that could only edge us 1-0 at the Olympics.
This team has regressed. Very uncoordinated play. I’ve never had confidence in Madugu. NFF should have thrown the role open.
This is not true. Only an amateur would attempt to speak like this @Kel
Every sensible football person understands very well that game outcomes are on a game by game basis, and some teams raise their game when they play stronger opponents- it brings out the best in them,
Just because A beat B, and B beats C, doesn’t mean that C wont beat A. Leave football alone if you don’t understand how it works friend. Thanks

CSN – Please – look into these impersonators because one is now claiming to be me, do something about this please otherwise this site will not be worth coming to. Thanks
Anyway, Tunisia collected wotowoto last last – 3- nil. What a game
The girls did good.
On to the next.

The girls did well am happy to see Assisat gradually coming back to herself.
I am one of her critics, I commend her for not playing oga madam ball today.
f Nigeria truly wants to make a deep run in this tournament, then we need to be strategic—not sentimental—with our squad selection. Asisat Oshoala, no doubt, is a legend. She’s technically good and her legacy is cemented. But at this stage, she’s best used as an impact player, not a starter. Her pace has dropped, and in tournaments like this, every second counts.
In contrast, players like Onumonu, Chinwendu Ihezuo, and Okoronkwo bring more direct energy and physical presence to the attack. They should be starting. These are players who can press defenders, stretch the game, and create chaos—we saw all that when Esther and Uhezuo came in.
And seriously, why was Francisca Ordega benched? She’s arguably the most dangerous attacker in the team right now. She can carry the ball, beat a marker, and make something happen out of nothing. That’s the kind of player you don’t keep on the bench, especially in a high-stakes tournament like this. This isn’t a friendly match where you experiment with line-ups—this is war.
Coach Madugu must realize that tournament football demands urgency, precision, and boldness. You play your best cards from the start—not when you’re trailing or when it’s too late.
Let’s hope he gets it right next game, because at this level, there’s no room for tactical sleepwalking.

Falcons were unrecognizable in the first half. Many passes were misplaced and why are they playing backwards too often?
