The hierarchy of Edel FC, a Nigeria National League (NNL) second-tier club, have exclusively informed Completesports.com that they are aware of the departure of their top scorer, Chindi Merpring, to Abia Warriors.
Merpring netted four goals during the concluded 2024/2025 NNL campaign, as Coach Sylvanus ‘Quick Silver’ Okpalla’s rescue mission achieved the desired outcome.

Merpring became one of the key transfer targets for Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo, as the Umuahia-based side intensify their recruitment of top talents ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

“Yes, we’re aware of Chindi’s departure to Abia Warriors,” Edel FC Team Manager, Myckie Chukwuebuka, confirmed to Completesports.com on Monday night.
