Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed that striker Alexander Isak will not be available for selection against Brighton.
The Sweden international, 26, fractured his fibia back in December and was subsequently forced to undergo surgery.
Isak, who joined Liverpool in a British record transfer back in the summer, was seen training individually on the eve of the Reds’ crunch Champions League showdown with Galatasaray.

While the sight of Isak back on the grass is a welcome boost for the Premier League champions, the Dutch tactician stated that the Swedish striker will not be available to face Brighton.
“Alex is not available for tomorrow,” Slot confirmed.
“But the fact that you see him on the pitch tells you he gets closer and closer to joining us again.”
“Not really. He will not be available for Saturday (away at Brighton) as well.
“As long as you don’t train with the team yet you are not ready to play.”
