Gift Orban netted a hat-trick as Gent hammered Polish club Pogon Szczecin in the first leg, third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League on Wednesday.
Orban has now scored five goals in all competitions for the Belgian club.
It is a fifth consecutive win for Gent so far in the new campaign.

Orban opened the scoring in the 13th minute and made it 2-0 with 10 minutes left in the first half.
In the 64th minute he completed his hat-trick to make it 5-0.
The return leg will take place on Thursday, August 17 in Poland.

I am not sure the problem is Peseiro, I believe it has to do with the NFF Technical committee. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes. I recall the previous NFF Boss boasting that Rohr did not want to take Musa to the world cup but he insisted and impressed it on him to oblige. Peseiro said he wanted to invite the likes of Orban & Boniface but was restrained by the NFF policy on the mandatory percentage of local based players. Please do not blame the coach, it is the knuckle heads at the glass house working against the progress of the team.
A perfect hatrick is not an easy feat and I suspect Orban did it on purpose…. Using the left foot for the first goal,the head for the second and the right for the third…..The guy scores for fun….he converts clinically well and he also has the footwork and pace to get into dangerous positions…… Anyone who truly loves super Eagles will want this dude to be in the present team no matter who is going to be upset about it……If Orban scores like this in any Top5 league then his market value might rise to 100 million before the end of this year.

why are clubs in the top 5 leagues not flocking around him, he has great potential unlike some players who have just one or two major attributes this guy is full of great creativity in the final third,
in his first goal he showed great awareness to tap in the rebound, the second goal was a very clever header over the goal keeper and the third goal well he completely mesmerised the defender before unleashing a well placed shot beyond the goalie.
i guess the question is can he replicate this kind of form in the premiership and my answer to that is, i see him scoring double digits in the premier league if he plays for any team with a decent midfield. his finishing is top class.

The entire SuperFalcons 23 plays abroad so why should the NFF impose a mandatory number of home based players on Peseiro?? If that’s the case then we are not ready to compete at the highest level.
SuperEagles like the SuperFalcons should be for the best and most inform players. I believe Peseiro will not overlook Orban and Boniface if they continue with this form. They’re young and definitely have a future with the SuperEagles.
The notion that a certain number of players must come from the local league is ridiculous to say the least. This is one of the reasons Waldrum had issues with them in the beginning of the preparations.
They want him to add some local players and he refused. Peseiro needs to stand his ground on this issue because Nigerians will not be happy with a mediocre AFCON after the last forgettable one.
