Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed delight after keeping another clean sheet at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
In Friday’s semi-final clash with the Copper Queens of Zambia the Super Falcons triumphed 5-0 to reach the semi-finals.
Nnadozie, who was mainly a spectator in most parts of the encounter as she had little or nothing to do, recorded her fourth consecutive clean sheet at this year’s WAFCON.
Veteran defender Osinachi Ohale opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, while Esther Okoronkwo and Chiwendu Ihezuo netted the second and third goals respectively before halftime.

Tosin Demehin got the fourth goal while Folashade Ijamilusi added the fifth goal late in the match.
Reacting to the win Nnadozie wrote on her X handle:”YOU HAD A PURPOSE BEFORE ANYONE HAD AN OPINION. SO KEEP GOING. WE ARE SUPER FALCONS .
“A CLEAN SHEET AND STRAIGHT TO SEMI FINALS. I GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY .”
Nnadozie would hope to make it five straight games without conceding when the Super Falcons face either South Africa or Senegal in the semi-finals next week.
The last time the Falcons won the WAFCON without conceding a goal was at the maiden edition in 1998 in Nigeria.
The Super Falcons recorded their third win in four WAFCON meetings with Zambia.
At the 2022 edition also in Morocco, Zambia edged out the nine-time African champions 1-0 in the third-placed play-off.
