Former Nigerian international Dimeji Lawal has praised the Super Falcons impressive display against Zambia in the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that Nigeria thrashed the Copper Queens 5-0 in the quarter-final.
Goals from Osinachi Ohale, Esther Okoronkwo, Chinwendu Ihezuo, Oluwatosin Demehin, and Folashade Ijamilusi were enough to give the Falcons victory and book their semi-final spot in the tournament.

In a chat with Completesports.com, Lawal stated that the WAFCON trophy must remain the major focus of the Super Falcons.
“Super Falcons showed class against a Zambian side that many Nigerians think will give the team a tough battle going by their group stage performances.
“With this victory, the players must aim high for the trophy regardless of who they will face in the semi-finals.
“The team is good enough for the trophy after thrashing Zambia. I wish them all the best in the tournament.”
