Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has disclosed that France legend Zinedine Zidane was his hero growing up.
Speaking in an interview with DAZN, the Brazilian reflected on his early football education, admitting that watching elite players on television shaped his ambitions long before he became one of Europe’s most accomplished midfielders.
“When you’re a kid, everyone on TV is a role model. I really enjoyed watching those players.”

“Among them all, one stood out above the rest: “For me, Zidane is number one. I always looked up to him a lot.”
“I try to be the first one in the gym and give my all in training too, not just in matches.
“You learn something every day, in football and in life . I learn from my children, I learn from my teammates, I learn from the coach… the important thing is to have an open mind.”
