The Cheetahs scored the winning goal through Yohan Roche in the 28th minute with captain Steve Mounie providing the assist.
Mounie teed up Roche with a clever pass, and the defender made no mistake, firing past the Botswana goalkeeper from inside the box.

Benin totally dominated the game, but failed to score more goals due to their poor marksmanship.
