Jamilu Collins handed Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr a big boost by taking part in light training on Tuesday ahead of the side’s Group B encounter against the Syli Nationale of Guinea, reports Completesports.com.
Collins, who plays for German Bundesliga side, SC Paderborn missed Saturday’s hard-/fought 1-0 win against the Swallows of Burundi due to injury.
Torino defender, Ola Aina took his place in the starting lineup and provided the assist for Odion Ighalo to score the only goal of the game.
With regular regular right-back, Shehu Abdullahi down with a hamstring injury he picked in the game against Burundi, Collins’ return from injury will increase the number of defensive options available to Rohr ahead of the game.
Bordeaux of France versatile winger, Samuel Kali, who slumped during the Super Eagles last training session before the game against Burundi, Completesports.com learnt, was not part of the training session on Monday.
The Super Eagles will face Guinea in their next Group B clash on Wednesday at the Alexandria Stadium.
