Super Falcons head coach Thomas Dennerby insists his team will fight till the end despite their 3-0 defeat to Norway in their opening game at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, reports Completesports.com.
The African champions put up a good fight in the encounter but conceded thrice in the first half and despite tactical changes by Dennerby after the break, failed to stage a comeback.
“When it comes to sports, never ever give up. We have to fight for 180 minutes more, plus added time,’’ Dennerby told reporters.
“A game can change in the last minute. So, we will work very hard for it and I can promise that we’ll never give up.”
The West Africans will face South Korea in their next Group A fixture in Grenoble on Wednesday.
Defeat in the game could end their ambition of making it to the Round of 16 but the veteran centre-back is adamant they can beat the Asians.
“We’re going to go back and look at our mistakes and maybe work on them. The second game will be better than the first,”she assured.
“We’ve learned so much from this first game and we’ll come back. We have to win the second game (against Korea Republic), and we’ll do all we can to win.”

Sometimes, I cannot avoid laughing so hard when ever I listen to this mediocre. Its so funny how we can’t tell ourselves the truth.
The coach is poor the team is ridiculously poor at all department.
I think they should sit and watch other teams like Spain, South Africa, Germany and even Norway. You will know our girls are just a shadow and far cry from an ideal footballing team.
Its so sad how we can’t see that the oparanozie led team lacks the footballing know how.
They are so unserious and unprepared.
How Asisat oshola has fallen from grace to grass seems to me a mystery.
She is getting worse by each passing game.
The team lack so much coherence and understanding.
The days of hit and run kind of ball is long gone.
You must carefully marshal your passes and skilfully navigate ur ball through opponents and not just shoot aimlessly and foolishly like the just concluded under 20 flying eagles team.
I know Nigeria has the girls and team to win the world cup.
But will tribalism, religious bigotry, corruption and nepotism allow them at the helm?
Surely this is pitiful!
Those girls won’t win any match, so please remove ur mind and hope on the AFCON, super Eagles since it seems we are about to get teams selection right.

I was thinking the powers that be would save careless and unserious iheanacho.
A young lad with so much skill and ability just chose to destroy his career.
When I look at him play today I am tempted to almost believe there could have been some voodoo or charms aiding him at his early stage: he was sooooo good and hard to mark, with an undaunted eyes for goal. Today he is a shadow of himself.
I commend the football federation for seemingly getting things right there.
How ever I still insist that the Rohr man is not as equipped as we think. I know him.He is a tortoise.
Plz watch, the Senegalese coach under 20. Though they were eliminated but I see a bright future ahead for those young lads and their coach who understand the basic technical nitty gritty of coaching; unlike his uninspiring, and technically stagnant flying eagles coach.
The difference will always be clear no matter how hard u hide the truth and fight ur way to stardom through ill and mischievous means.
I wish we could have the likes of coaches like that of the Senegal under 20. That guy is a genius. It reminds me of the days of westerhof, Bonfree and even our own Siasia, when he was still siasia.

Watch the South African team who even played a tougher opponent in Spain. But for the white mischief and fraudulent referees who hate black nations,and aided Spain to win, that would have been a shocker for the world best team Spain.
The girls are ready with football sense intact.
Their lady coach is amazingly gifted but made a stupid decision that cost them in their last match but wrong changes.
We have girls/ and lads that can beat any team in the world on the streets of Nigeria.

this guy write up dey vex me seriously, in 1995 we had mercy akide,omagbemi, norway still beat us 8-0. the nonsense south africa you are talking about was beaten by norway in a friendly match and it ended 7-2. Norway has won the female world cup before, not sure if spain has ever gotten to the semifinals before, norway currently has the world female best player. so i dont get the rubbish you are saying. please educate yourself properly before you talk. If its easy to pick players on the street and win a match you think coaches wont do it or you think they want to fail.oshola plays for barcelona, she played the finals of the women champions league vs lyon, so please which other players were we suppose to take to this competitions.please educate yourself and stop vomiting rubbish.

However, listen up! You can never give what you don’t have.I have critically analysed the present super falcon squad.They are all worn out players.
I am taken aback amusingly, when this Dennerby of a guy says they will fight hard till the end.Its laughable! This is because it is merely saying Tboy please obvious that the team lacks the requisite technical know- hows to play at the world cup.with teams like USA, Germany, England, Norway,Spain, Japan etc.
Mr tbpy pls, its important for u to know that my critic or if u like, analysis of the falcons is base on the last match they played and not on an history backing any player.the likes of oparanozie and oshoala of course upon whom our team is built are not rutty and heavy.
There is little or nothing they can do. With there so much pace they lack what it takes to slot the ball into the net.
Those gamble hunter shooting style of football is no more invoke.
