The Nigeria Basketball Federation ,NBBF, has released the roster for the national female U19 team expected to represent Nigeria at this year’s FIBA U-19 Championship coming up in Brno, Czech Republic.
The 12 players would be led by the technical trio of Faustina Akhere Juliana, Nyingifa Atonye and Usuwa Chinedu Stone,as head coach associate head coach and assistant coach respectively.
The players include Jessica Ajayi, Pius Idubamo Beggi, Wandoo Marvis Hembam, Gbemisola Samuel, Toby Nweke and Momoluwa Tewogbade.
Others are Nora Ezike, Francisca Chukwu, Olanrewaju Ayodeji,Abigail Isaac, Olaoluwa O. Victoria and Favour Sampson.
Nigeria are drawn in Group B with Portugal, Canada, and China,
16 teams will participate in the competition.
The tournament will run from Saturday, 12 July to Sunday, 20 July 2025.
