“Atlético, planning now for travel and medical next for the Nigerian. 🇳🇬.”

Finally a good move for a Nigerian player. Hope he delivers. I hope he won’t be UCL cup tied. But I think from Knock out round UCL resets team sheets. Non the less a decent move for one of our Top players.
When Fabrizio says it, you can proceed to the bank with it.
But a Lookman for 35m…..?!
Anyways, it will indeed be interesting to see a willing runner like Ade play under a pragmatic coach like Simeone.
Lmaol…even if its 20m it is way better than being bought by some tolotolo club for 75m…lmaol….
Spanish league na your mate?
Its like comparing alomo with henessy…lmaol…
Lmaooo….I had promised I will stop responding to senseless people in 2026, but I’ll make an exception this one time.
75m to 35m (mind you Atalanta valued him 50m at the start of the season).
400k per week salary without tax to 58k per week plus tax
I hope Lookman will spend “Spanish league” after retirement….
It still took deadline day before athletico Madrid agreed to up their initial 30m offer.
One of Nigeria and Africa’s star players is being undervalued all for the sake of ‘La Liga’ and a low life dog is happy……. LMAOooo. At 29 he’s going to a club where he will work like a slave (is Simeone your mate?) for peanuts…and a dog owned by slaves is celebrating…… LMAOOoo
I thank God Osimhen never allowed himself to be treated like shit this way.
I thought Osimhen’s career was supposed to die because he didn’t beg you and your dunce father Finidi, nor accept peanuts from clubs who thought they were doing him a favour….. LMAOOO…..hello….what’s happening….? Osimhen name is still ringing all over Europe as one of the best strikers on the continent……. LMAOoo. Pundits all over the continent are making videos to apologize to him for underrating him….. LMAOoo. Even UEFA used the iconic picture of him hugging Halaand as the riding poster on their bulletin. Greatness meeting Greatness.
I was hoping UEFA would wipe out the 6 goals Osimhen has scored in 5 UCL matches this season because he plays in a tolotolo league…..i checked recently the UEFA CL leaderboard and I was shocked to find out they didn’t…….LMAOoo. It yet stands in the no 3 position on the leaderboard
400k per week Vs 58k per week…..who looks like one who can afford Hennessy over Alomo between Osimhen and Lookman now.
Oh….I’m sorry, I forgot lookman can just walk into a store, flash his La Liga ID card and make purchases Osimhen cannot……. LMAOoo
It’s 2026 and common sense is still not common.
Lol…sensible and wise people keep to their promise old man…but you doing the opposite shows how fatuous you are…lmao….
Oh! Osimhen playing in a tolotolo league for three seasons now with no prestigious club making concrete effort to sign him for the past three seasons now is a win for his career you mean….
Old man look His career is as good as over…lmaol…
Or You want to compare his football career with the likes of mbappe his age mate…or is it yamal or haland his younger brother…lol
And who told you lookman is broke?
Lol. Weldone account officer to lookman….
Or you think its everybody that comes from a penurious backgroud like you and your mentor osimhen that can easily enslave their soul for money?? Hahahaha
LMAOoo…..thank you for acknowledging the fact that you are indeed senseless.
Even the Almighty changes his mind under certain circumstances
Hellooo……Osimhen does not earn a paltry 3m per annum, nor is he worth a paltry 35m. Even as a player on loan he was earning 12m per year and his market value was 100m…….LMAoooo….so only super wealthy clubs like PSG and Chelsea can afford him in the first place. And since your brain was in coma when these clubs made offers for him, you can go back and check Fabrizio Romano’s updates back then to refresh your dead brain.
Osimhen is no Yamal, Halaand or Mbappe…..he’s an African, born and raised in Africa and playing for an African national team so he doesn’t have the same privileges…..still he’s currently the best to come out of Africa…… Lmao. He’s still mentioned in Europe in the same conversations those names are mentioned……LMAOooo…Shame shame shame……shame.
It’s a fact that in Europe as of today, when the conversation about the best centre forwards is brought up Victor Osimhen’s name still keeps getting mentioned despite playing 10 seasons in a tolotolo league…….. LMAOOooo…..I thought Osimhen’s Career was supposed to die and his name forgotten forever once he sets his foot in Turkey….. LMAOoo
Osimhen’s career will die if he goes to turkey….. LMAOoo…..I will make sure Osimhen does not know peace…… LMAOooo……How makert….?! You have still not succeeded with your mission despite Osimhen playing in turkey for donkey years…. LMAOoo
I’ll rather be winning trophies and breaking club and national records on a regular while earning 400k per week tax free in turkey than play like a slave for peanuts in La Liga for a team that has zero chance of winning anything in the next 5 years.
Imagine running box to box for Simeone for peanuts at 29…… LMAOOoo. Chai….Lookman sorry ehn……we with you in prayers on this move.
Lookman has about 17 months left in his contract with Atlanta and he has already made it clear he want to leave, selling him for 35M now is a very good price for Atlanta, else the will lose him for nothing come next year. The earlier they sell him the better for Atlanta. To be honest its a win-win for both Lookman and Atlanta.
Thank you my brother kim for the clear insights about the deal….
Like I said you cant compare alomo to henessy even if its for 20m we nigerians are excited about the deal…let him go…
Well you see it as a win, I see it as disrespect…..grave disrespect. I’m sure even Athletico are still pleasantly shocked how easy and cheap this particular deal came.
The fact that a player of Lookman’s calibre, earning a paltry 3m per annum was available for as low as 35m all these while and there was no queue at Bergamo…..up until deadline day of the transfer window reluctantly added 5m to their initial offer …..hurts deeply.
I’m not saying this because I am Nigerian, but Lookman is no less a player than any 70m worth wing forward anywhere in Europe currently.
It’s a win for Lookman because he’s finally leaving a club where he is not valued, and a loss for Atalanta because they just had to sell him off because no club was ready to pay higher……yes….even Athletico Madrid only quickly upped their offer to 35m when they heard Ademola had agreed terms with fenerbache.
That’s not the type of desire a club who truly values a player shows. It’s the sort of desire a club signing a backup player shows. Recall inter Milan too was foot dragging over an additional 5m in the summer…..just 5m.
All the same, I still wish Ade good luck. Atalanta didn’t deserve him, so I’m glad he has seen their back eventually. A side of me is even happy they never go full value for him.
I understand your point@Dr Drey.
Lookman deserves better financially. He’s far much more worth than what was given. However, ı understand from the clubs’ perspective. I think the age factor and desperation worked against Lookman. He’s 29 years old attacker pushing on 30 and desperate to leave Bergamo. I believe these factors played into the hands of Athletico Madrid.
Anyway, I look at the positives. he’s in a better team, much more stable and consistent and he gets to continue playing in the top level.
So ı wish him well.
I am more excited about the rumoured news of Nnadi moving to Marsielle . If that comes to fruition, it’s definitely a step forward. More like Suleman Sani move to RB Leipzig. And off course, the hopeful rejuvenation of Moffi with his move to Fc Porto.
I wish them all the best.
Hahaha Mr Hush, forget transfer market dynamics. This has Finidi written all over it. Recall Lookman denigrating Finidi in Finid’s early days as SE coach…….no wonder despite making history as the first man (or so) to score a hat trick in an European final, winning AFOTY and a banner performance at AFCON, clubs were not falling over themselves to snap him up from Atalanta. Imagine Lookman being available for just 35m and Atalanta didn’t have to call the police for crowd control in an era where players can still produce top performances up till their mid 30s.
Anyways all the best to him at Athletico…..I just hope he enjoys the tactical rigidity, tenacity and pragmatism of Simeone. At least he’s guaranteed to play regularly in the Champions League unlike Atalanta.
The good news for me in respect to lookman transfer to the inferior Madrid club is the fact that Simeone has decided to leave the club by end of the season.
