Brazil manager Tite has named Botafago right-back Marcinho as replacement for Juventus defender, Danilo in his squad for the friendly games against Senegal and Nigeria, Completesports.com reports.
Danilo pulled out of the squad due to a muscle injury and will only return to action next month.
His replacement, Marcinho will have the chance to make his debut for the Selecao after impressing for Botafago this season.
“He is a young man with potentials and good technical quality. A lateral builder, as is the game model of the Brazilian national team,”Tite was quoted by the official website of the Brazilian Football Confederation.
The five-time world champions will begin preparation for the friendlies on October 6.
Tite’s men will face Senegal at the National Stadium, Singapore on October 10
and then take on the Super Eagles three days later at the same venue.

Sometimes,I dey “jealous” this country o. This is just a picture of the Brazilian model. It’s not that in Europe they can’t find a suitable option o,but it’s just the value they place on their league.
They do a lot to make their league professional too and then giving league players invites like this, help their players remain in Brazil instead of the bandwagon rush to Europe that many other nations are embarking on.
Brazil will even invite players in Europe, who don’t play regularly for their clubs,becos they know the player has quality. Maybe the player was good back home,or he has represented them beautiful in the age-grade,Brazil is ready to invite such a player eventho he plays in Division2 in Europe and he is often benched.

I recall years back when Enyeama was clubless, but keeping fit on his own,he would still be invited to the National team and after training he would earn the right to be handed a starters shirt,for the SuperEagles. This brought outrage,people screamed,”what kind of thing is this,is the National team a rehabilitation camp?!”. They would hala,”this kind of thing can only happen in Nigeria,it can’t happen in Europe”. I think they were right,that this kind of thing can’t happen “anywhere”, but hey it happens in Brazil as a normal thing.
Neymar benefited from this the other day. European press asked Brazil’s head coach if he would invite Neymar,because they knew it was illogical to invite a player who has not played football for months with injury and transfer speculations hindering him.
The coach,replied dat Neymar MUST BE invited. True to word,he invited Neymar, Neymar even started and scored.
