The Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will sit in Abuja on Tuesday, 1 July 2025, to examine various petitions brought forward by some Nationwide League One clubs over issues that arose during the 2025 NLO playoffs across the country, Completesports.com has exclusively gathered.
The Nationwide League One Secretariat, invoking its summary jurisdiction role, sanctioned some clubs over alleged involvement in match manipulation.
Among the sanctioned clubs is Campos FC of Owerri, penalised over alleged complicity in a match-fixing scandal following their 15-2 triumph over A&A Kiviasennus Palvelut FC in Awka. Similarly, Cynosure FC of Abakaliki petitioned the NLO, alleging a match-fixing incident involving Liberty Lions and E-World FC in Calabar.

Likewise, Positive Football Academy submitted an appeal to the NLO challenging its ruling in a similar match-fixing allegation.
Following these appeals, the NLO Playoffs in three centres—Port Harcourt, Sagamu, and Ijebu Ode—were suspended pending the hearing and final determination of the cases by the NFF Disciplinary Committee.
Last week, the Secretary of the NFF Disciplinary Committee, Queen Otarakpo Esq., in a memo to all affected clubs, urged them to submit their defences no later than 20 June 2025.
The clubs have complied, and Completesports.com has learnt that the Disciplinary Committee has scheduled Tuesday, 1 July 2025, for the hearing in Abuja.

“The Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will sit next week Tuesday, 1 July, to address the claims of the various clubs,” a credible source within the NFF familiar with the matter told Completesports.com on Thursday.
“The affected clubs have been put on notice. We need to resolve these issues so that the remaining NLO Playoffs—in Sagamu, Port Harcourt, and Ijebu Ode—can proceed.”
