‘We’re Winning On Thursday’ – Yobe Desert Stars Coach Declares Ahead Of Final Super 8 Clash
Yobe Desert Stars Technical Adviser, Ernest Jupiter, has declared that Thursday’s final Group A fixture at the 2025 NNL Super 8 Promotion Playoffs against Wikki Tourists at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba is a must-win for his side to secure a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Completesports.com reports.
Yobe Stars Top Group After Comeback Win
Yobe Stars currently sit atop the Northern Conference (Group A) with four points after staging a remarkable comeback win against Doma United in their second match on Monday in Asaba.
Doma United led 1-0 at half-time, only for Jupiter’s side to snatch victory with two second-half goals.

The 2-1 triumph has put Yobe Stars in the driving seat heading into the decisive final match of the tournament.
‘We’ll Win And Return To The Premiership’ – Jupiter
Coach Jupiter spoke confidently during the post-match press conference, declaring that the clash with Wikki Tourists is one he fully expects to win.

“We’re winning the match against Wikki Tourists on Thursday,” Jupiter said with calm conviction.
“We’ll win the game and complete our return to the Premiership,” he emphasised.
Jupiter Reacts To Doma United Comeback
Reflecting on his team’s dramatic turnaround against Doma United, the Yobe Desert Stars boss revealed he remained composed even after trailing 1-0 at the break.

“I wasn’t upset when they were leading us 1-0 in the first half. In the dressing room, I told the players that if Doma United could score one in the first half, we too can score one or even more in the second half.
“And they did just that. Now we’re one leg into the Nigeria Premier Football League,” Coach Jupiter stated.
