Former Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has joined Italian fourth tier club, Casertana FC.
Onazi, who last played for Saudi Arabia side, Al-Adalah penned a one-year contract with the club.
Casertana FC is pleased to announce that it has ensured the sports performance of the footballer Ogenyi Eddy ONAZI,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
The experienced midfielder has been plagued by injuries in recent years.

The 29-year-old started his professional career at Serie A club, Lazio.
Onazi moved to Turkish Super Lig outfit, Trabzonspor in 2016.
The former Golden Eaglets star has also played for the Lithuanian club, Zalgiris and Turkish club, Denizlispor.
He was part of Nigeria’s squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa and represented the country at two FIFA World Cups.

Nigerian footballers love mediocrity. How can an Afcon winner go to division 4 club in Italy? Inter Milan, AC Milan or Juventus would have been manageable for Onazi. He should have gone to Manchester United or Manchester City.
When you eat too much fufu,eba,poundo and all other starchy food and somebody earlier yesterday was surprise why Jamaican and other black soccer nation are securing better contract than us, I’m yet to hear/see a Nigeria soccer player with private trainer, nutritionist and physio, all they do is rely only on what they got from the club daily training.
“Our-own” invited Onazi in last year World-Cup qualifiers against Ghana. Our-own loves Onazi even though he has been clubless for over two years back then. He is very happy currently, to be playing in the 4th division. When his contract finishes, he may be ready to go play in 5th or 6th division in Germany. Even though Onazi has biscuit legs, l still wants to extend to him my best wishes.
