Gosepl Singer, Timi Dakolo has told the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro can’t qualify the team to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Dakolo made this assertion on the backdrop of Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Lesotho on Thursday in their opening qualifying campaign at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
Second-half goals from Motlomelo Mkhwanazi and Semi Ajayi ensured both teams shared a point each.
Reacting via his Twitter (X) account, Dakolo also branded the Super Eagles’ display as ‘very embarrassing.’

“Dear @thenff, this coach can’t be the best coach available for a country like Nigeria.
“This is very embarrassing. This man can’t take the Super Eagles to the World Cup. It is actually painful to watch,” he tweeted.
Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in their next World Cup qualifier on Sunday.

The NFF had the opportunity to kick him out, yet they renewed his contract. I really can’t fathom why a country like Nigeria would renew the contract of such a poor quality coach who was chased out in South America for poor results.

Watching Ghana vs Madagascar with keen interest, guys give it to Madagascar, they playing some eye catching soccer so far and Ghana with Hughton who have previously coached Tottenham, Republic of Ireland, Newcastle, Norwich, Birmingham city, Nottingham forest and BHA are freaking struggling, I think we shd give peseiro some slack, africa soccer have really evolve, I hope and believe the SE redeem themself by Sunday.

There’s one thing I realised about playing the so-called minows of African football; you have to take the game to them or you will be disgraced. Madagascar played very well and almost snatched a draw or victory. It took a lot of persistence from ghana to win. If there’s one thing you cannot fault the black stars for, it’s their fighting spirit and determination to beat a well-drilled team. The Madagascar coach was very gutted at the end of the game. This shows that they came into the game with the believe that they can cause an upset. All so called big teams in Africa should watch out.

Not only that, u should have a CREATIVE ATTACKING MIDFIELDER in your midfield to carved them open and this is how Ghana was able to open them up finally when we introduced MADJIED! U can never scored a MINNOW African team with COMBATIVE MIDFIELDERS who are also defensive!

Very interesting and an end to end game from the start, yea hughton experince as a seasoned coach finally paid off and the never say die attitude of the black stars finally bear fruit. But I feel a draw would have still be consider a good result for both teams.
He said he wil win afcon . Afcon is January no bi so .. thanks god his contract was on the line by February.. let just pray for 3 point against Zimbabwe. So that by the next Coach wil stil have something to fight for. And if he eventually won afcon den his contract goes on with eagles. So for now fast and pray not for him but for a win again Zimbabwe.
Ghanaian coach knew exactly what he was doing. At least, they have 3 points now unlikely this clueless man we have as a coach who can’t read a game properly. Nigeria as a country would never forgive the NFF if we fail to qualify to the World Cup again.
