‘Reasons Black Stars Squad List For Super Eagles Clashes Is Unknown To Public’ –GFA Member

Nnamdi EzekuteBy Nnamdi EzekuteMarch 20, 202272 Comments2 Mins Read

The Ghana Football Association, GFA, has disclosed the reasons the Black Stars squad list for the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs against the Super Eagles of Nigeria has not been made public.

The first and second leg matches will take place in Kumasi and Abuja on the 25th and 29th of March 2022 respectively, but there is still no published Black Stars squad list that Technical Adviser, Chris Hughton, will use to execute the assignments.

Mr. Samuel Anim Addo, a GFA Executive member has divulged that the Ghanaian football ruling body doesn’t want the Nigerians to know their strengths.

“Strategically, we must keep our opponents (Super Eagles) confused, they are confused and the time that they will need to regroup and organise themselves to know our strengths will be limited,” Addo said to Citi TV.

“The players who have been selected know they are travelling and are already preparing for the game.

“The most important thing is that you will get Ghanians who are going to die for this country.

The invited Black Stars players being shielded from public knowledge are about now arriving camp in Accra. They’re billed to travel to Kumasi – the venue of the match – on Tueday, March 22, and start training the following day ahead of match on Friday.

Nigeria coach, Austin Eguavoen released a 32-man list for the playoffs on the 4th of March 2022.

      You’re simply AFRAID!

Admit it and stop the blabbing!!!!

Y’all have seen what the likes of Osimhen are about to bring to your doorstep on Friday, so feel free, spy us all you want…. you’re going DOWN by the end of it all on the 29th…you can wait till Canada/US 2026 when you’d probably square off against a much ‘lighter’ opponent lolz

Isn’t it laughable that in modern football some countries are still hiding their list to confuse their opponent? That shows how scared they are. There has never been anything like black star, even if there is, it can only shine with help of Vaseline or grease. But the Eagle is always super.

The fact remain that we won’t play with ghost and if that is true, trust, Ghana can run but you can not hide.

May be he want to include Sule Muntari that will be helping him to play outside shot bcos of Okoye. The thing is if Ghana has team, there won’t be hiding of selection.

This is a reflection of how crude those at hem of affairs of the Ghanian football are; in an era of technological dominance when football itself have been designed to belong to the public, what makes you think that by not making your squad list public two days to a FIFA grade A match, your opponent cannot know your strength? Are the players in the list going to descend mars? Will they not be drawn from football clubs across world? The fact is that your strength is known already because your players are known. History don’t play football, the super Eagles are made up quality players competing favorably among their mates at the highest level across the world and come the match day, I don’t see this current Ghanian team having a say in that game.

Only one name matters to the whole Ghana and that is Partey. That’s all they have. With him, we can plan our game, except if he will not be playing.

Not less than 70% of the players will still be those ghana paraded during afcon.

It’s the fear of Nigeria team that will kill ghanaians.

All these lies of deliberately destroy the field that fifa approved and lies that all the hotels in new location have been booked by government officials are due to the fear of losing to Nigeria.

The level of defeat that will fall on ghana in the two legs will scatter ghana football team and will take years for them to recover.

        God bless Nigeria.

How is this a strategy? it’s the dumbest ever.

Nigeria already knows you will stick to 80% of the players you’re going to deploy in the playoffs and they cannot be 100% newly constituted except you want to be thoroughly disgraced; though I can’t be 100% certain that you will be that smart!

Nigeria also knows how difficult it’s going to be for you to get the remaining 20% unknown newbies to properly blend with your existing squad for the very first time in less than 5 days.

So I ask again; how is this a strategy?

Oh! of course and knowing that Ghanaians love history I wouldn’t also be too surprised if the so called new players are your old legs like Michael essien, Sulley Muntari, Tony Yeboah, Asamoah Gyan.

What is myopic about being objective and logical?

I only gave my perspective on why I do not see any advantage in not releasing the list of your players. If you have a logical and objective counter argument to my views on this matter; then do so for my appreciation.

          I don’t need to have
a coaching certificate before picking holes in your GFA’s dumb psychological approach.

It is clear that you’re the one that is myopic. I gave you specific reasons why it’s a no advantage and I ask you to provide specific counter reasons why it is. Your mere response that “psychology is part of the Game” is cowardly, infantile, idiotic, and lacking in substance. The bottom line is that your GFA is in disarray and you guys do not have a list to confidently present your Ghanaian fans because it would expose your GFA’s incompetence and if I am to quote Daniel Amokachi….” some people are under confusion”

        • Jide Dola on March 20, 2022 11:33 pm

You wise ass, oya tell us the advantage of hiding a team that every body already knew 80% of what will be the list. Will that mind game stop the team that want to play against you from playing their game? Can you imagine south Africa hiding their list or Morocco hiding their list. They already have solid team, there is nothing to hide. Is when you don’t know what to present that you will be hiding your jokes.

Seriously in this modern times and GFA is hiding list of their players . Infact, this is crap. Why don’t they admit that it’s their pride that is playing in their head along with the fear of losing to the Super Eagles that is crawling in their brains. Ghana takes this match as war whereas super Eagles is taking this match as redemption as they know that their people want more from them after the AFCON. Whatever GFA is planning ,note this that it’s not working on the Super Eagles at all. For those players are moree focused than listening to Ghana’s mind game as well as their manipulative gimmicks. Super Eagles will never underestimate them , but will definitely pull through at the end .

Just imagine that is Nigeria that is hiding the list like this, you want to tell me you will not know the players that will be invited. You don’t have many players abroad so don’t tell me you want to over hull the team except with home base and that will be a disaster on your part.

to announce their team list? Lol. If you like Ghana, don’t announce the team list.

As you can see now, we are doing our things to the best of our knowledge and no distractions, we are fully prepared for this match.

The real reason the list is not out is because they are scrambling to make up the numbers for their squad. The new striker they had hoped to use who plays for Bristol city is injured and out whilst Jordan Ayew has been reported to have contacted covid . The Ayew brothers are out, Semenyo is out , the Ghanaian technical are sweating profusely at the thought of facing Nigeria with a ramshackle team.

Hiding the list of players simply shows that the Ghana FA is ashamed of the weakness of their squad. The Nigerian coaches already know who will play for Ghana on Friday. Some Ghanaians are Nigeria’s spies, and many Nigerians live in Ghana.

A Ghanaian informant and girlfriend of mine who is close to the Ghana football authorities has leaked some of the players on the list that are to feature for Ghana in the Kumasi/Abuja playoff games gainst Nigeria. Please don’t ask me how she got hold of it. I hope coaches Eguavoen/Amunike and Salisu Yusuf are made aware of this. The main players on the secret list for Ghana include:

Mohammad Kudus (an attacking midfielder with Ajax Amsterdam); Daniel Kofi-Kyereh of St.Pauli (an attacking midfielder/striker in the current league leaders in Bundesliga 2 in Germany; Thomas Partey, midfielder of Arsenal and captain of the team; Felix Afena-Gyan of AS Roma in Italy (attacker/forward); Jeffrey Schlupp (midfielder/forward with Crystal Palace in London). These are the main players for the current Ghana team on the leaked list. Injury concerns seem to prevent the following from featuring in the games for Ghana as follows: Jordan Ayew of Crystal Palace(battling covid); Abdul Baba Rahman (left back defender with Reading in England who is battling fitness /thigh injury concerns and is doubtful for both games); Kamaldeen Sulemana, winger with Rennes in France who has a stress fracture injury and is also doubtful for the matches); new invitee (Aintoine Semenyo of Bristol City who is currently also injured) and Abedi Ayew (the captain and probably most experienced player in the team who has a red card suspension from the playoffs).

Please pass on this list to Eguavoen/Amunike /Salisu Yusuf coaching crew). Thanks

Nigeria is limited in midfield with only five players and 9 forwards which means the coach is looking at a 4 3 3 formation because all 5 midfield players cannot be on the field at the same time , at best Nigeria will field 3 and leave 2 subs or field 4 with one sub on the bench (this is not likely because they have 9 forwards ) and so it’s going to be 433 for Nija.
Now this present a big error for Nigeria because Ghana has a better midfield and this is where the game will be won !

Whether Ghana releases her team list or not, we already know their players. 80% of those who featured at the AFCON would still be paraded. We are ready for them. The most and only in-form player they have presently is Thomas Partey, but a tree cannot make a forest.
