Rivers Angels have retained their President Federation Cup title after defeating Nasarawa Amazons on penalties in the final played inside the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos on Saturday.
It is a 10th President Federation Cup title for Rivers Angels.
The Port Harcourt-based team came from 2-0 down to level up 2-2 before going on to win 4-2 on penalty shootout.
Among Top dignitaries present for the final were former internationals Segun Odegbami, Joseph Yobo, Friday Ekpo, Precious Dede, Chikelue Iloanusi and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Ibrahim Gusau.
Nasarawa had the first chance kust two minutes into the game but Rivers Angels keeper Anderline Mgbechi made a point blank save.
Nasarawa opened the scoring in the 7th minute as Odushola Shobowale slotted home after Rivers Angels keeper spilled a cross.
In the 12th minute Aminat Folorunsho went close for Rivers Angels but her header from a corner kick went just over the bar.
Shobowale got her brace to make it 2-0 in the 17th with a left-foot volley which the Rivers Angels keeper punched against the cross bar which ended inside the net.

Few minutes later Janet Akekoromowei almost extended Nasarawa Amazons’ lead but her strike hit the post twice before a Rivers Angels player cleared the danger.
Nasarawa Amazons were forced into an early change as Joy Igbokwe went off injured and was replaced by Faridat Abdulwahab.
In first half stoppage time Nasarawa Amazons keeper Shukurat Bakare was alert to a dangerous effort as she punched it away for a corner.
Just two minutes into the second half Rivers Angels made their first change as Chisom Nwachukwu replaced Titilayo Aweda.
Rivers Angels reduced the deficit on 57 minutes as Taiwo Ajibade slotted home a well taken free-kick which evaded the keeper.
In the 62nd minute Taiwo Afolabi made it 2-2 as she lobbed the ball into an empty net after Nasarawa keeper failed to properly punch away a cross.
Nasarawa Amazons almost restored their lead some minutes later but Bibiana Odoh could not connect to a dangerous cross inside the box.
After both teams failed to find the winner the game was decided via penalty shootout with Rivers Angels converting all their four kicks while Nasarawa Amazons missed two of their four kicks.
