Nigeria’s Super Falcons are the defending champions of the competition.
The winners of the CAF Women’s Coach of the Year and other outstanding women’s football awards will also be announced on the day of the draw.
The awards were originally scheduled to be presented at the CAF Awards 2025, but were postponed as the Women’s Football season had not concluded due to the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League.

I dare CAF to make WAFCON every four years oh since women Euros is every four years too.
Rabid henchmen.
Meanwhile, NFF, the chicken is about coming home to roost. After fluffing your lines in making falcons play the fewest number of games in a calendar year in nearly 12 years in 2025 with little friendlies, March 17th is not far again
We will see the results of the zero preparation for falcons soon.
We will not forget the 1.5b CAF prize money you must have secretly emptied because the girls told you no friendly until bonuses as far back as 2021 were paid them
Hand go soon meet una. We are watching and waiting for the ultimate unraveling in a 2027 world cup qualifiers tournament.
Village people hand for Nigerian football too strong sha.
Ivory Coast afforded to play 3 teenagers against Burkina Faso on Tuesday night.
Who did we bring? Players that will not be important again in 4 years time.
I greet oh, village people. They first scattered our cadet teams, male and female. Less said about eagles, the better.
Now, it’s falcons time.
No tuneup games to test youth that should have been discovered to wait in the wings of our very aging stars.
For context, even if I sound like a broken record, most of the African nations in the NOW 16 TEAMS championship and not 12 anymore, are coming with youthful and fast players.
We are coming with players like
Plumptre, 28 years old
Esther Okoronkwo, 29 years
Alozie – 29
Oshoala – 32
Ordega – 33
Ihezuo – 29
Omorinsola Babajide – 28
Uchenna Kanu – 29
Tony Payne – 31
Ayinde – 31
Ohale – 34 (our centre back).
And they are WOMEN oh.
I laugh sha.
Not that we even have a savvy technical crew that will rather not have Malawi cap Chioma Okafor but not even play her.
Let me not bring up the Gift Monday drama.
Come to think of it. Which Nigerian female player is even making waves today?
I salute you, village people. Una do our football strong.
Game wey we dey follow like religion.
