Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has advised Dominik Szoboszlai to extend his contract and become club captain.
The versatile Hungarian, who has filled in a right-back on multiple occasions this season, was back in his attacking midfield position in the impressive Champions League rout of Galatasaray on Wednesday.

In a chat with TNT Sports, Gerrard told Szoboszla that he’s the Reds’ future captain.
“I hope he stays longer. I think there’s a future captain in there for Liverpool.”
“Can we just talk through the goal? It’s looked as if obviously it had been planned on the training pitch? (Alexis) Mac Allister obviously pulled it back. Was it meant to be for your right leg? How quick did you have to change your mind and adjust?”
