Manchester United have signed Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for an initial £65m.
Mbeumo has signed a five-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.
The 25-year-old’s exit sees him become Brentford’s biggest ever sale, eclipsing the £40m paid by Al-Ahli for Ivan Toney in August 2024.
“Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Bryan Mbeumo has joined the club, subject to registration,” the Red Devils announced on their website on Monday.
“The Cameroon international has signed a contract until June 2030, with the option to extend for a further year.
“Last season, Mbeumo, 25, scored 20 Premier League goals, the fourth highest in the league, and registered a further eight assists.
“Since Brentford’s promotion to the top flight, Mbeumo has averaged an impressive 18 goal contributions per season.”

Mbeumo is Ruben Amorim’s third signing of the summer after the arrivals of forward Matheus Cunha and left-back Diego Leon.
His move, seven weeks after United’s first bid for the Cameroon international, brings to an end one of the longest-running sagas of the summer.
United’s third offer, worth an initial £65m with £6m in add-ons, was accepted last week.
The winger is expected to be in the club’s squad for their pre-season tour of the United States on Thursday.
Mbeumo scored 70 goals and provided 51 assists in 242 games for Brentford since joining in 2019 from Troyes.
