The Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) has constituted its new standing committees aimed at strengthening football development across the state.

In a statement issued on Friday by board member and Chairman of the Media and Communications Committee, Ralph Chidozie George, following an emergency virtual board meeting held on Thursday night, the list of the ten committees was released.
The meeting was presided over by the ANSFA Chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi (The General).
Committee Chairmen And Key Appointments Confirmed
The ANSFA committees include the Organising and Competitions Committee, headed by Vice Chairman Victor Aniekwena; the Finance Committee, led by Ifejika Johnson; and the Referees Appointment Committee, chaired by retired FIFA referee Ijeoma Nwosu.

The Technical Committee is headed by Coach Donatus Ezeokafor.
ANSFA Expands Focus With Women’s Football, Marketing, Disciplinary Units
Other committees include the Women’s Football Development Committee, chaired by Cordelia Akanna, with former Super Falcons star and coach Maureen Mmadu as a member.
The Disciplinary Committee has Prince Michael Mbaezue as Chairman, while the Marketing/Sponsorship Committee and the Media and Communications Committee are both chaired by Ralph Chidozie George.
The ANSFA Players’ Status Committee is led by Olisa Onuchukwu, while the Grassroots and Youth Development Committee is headed by Azubuike Okeke.
ANSFA Secretary, Ralph Nweke, will serve as Secretary of all the standing committees.

The ten committees were inaugurated by Chairman Iloenyosi, who charged members to formulate innovative programmes and introduce fresh ideas for the growth of football in Anambra State.

Iloenyosi, a former Super Eagles defender, also urged the committees to embrace virtual meetings to improve efficiency and develop forward-thinking strategies to elevate the game.
