Amuneke Sets Strict Standards as Heartland Begin New Chapter
Team Manager of the Naze Millionaires, Mmaduabuchi Osuorji, confirmed the development in a statement made available to Completesports.com, revealing that the club’s Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, has directed all players, officials, and members of the technical crew to report at 7:00 am at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Monday, 21 July.
This announcement comes amid growing speculation that the five-time NPFL champions might still feature in the top flight in the 2025/2026 season despite their relegation.

Osuorji stated that the new campaign would mark a fresh chapter at Heartland, anchored on discipline, promptness, dedication, and professionalism—values set to define the club’s renewed vision under Amuneke’s leadership.
“On the directive of our esteemed Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, MFR, this is to formally inform all players and technical staff of Heartland Football Club, Owerri, that resumption of duties is scheduled for Monday, 21 July, 2025,” part of the official memo read.
Heartland Target Better Performance
“All team members are expected to report promptly and in full readiness as we begin preparations for this new phase. Punctuality, discipline and professionalism will be strictly observed.
“Let us come back with renewed energy and determination as we aim for greater achievements in this new phase,” the statement concluded.
